This Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer Policy ("Policy") sets out the obligations of Kokobet, operated at koko-bet.co by 3-102-897762 LTDA / Luckywayz Limited B.V. ("Kokobet", "we", "us", "our"), and the requirements placed upon all registered players. Kokobet holds a Curaçao Gaming Control Board licence (OGL/2024/1497/0884) and operates in compliance with applicable anti-money laundering legislation and the standards expected of a licensed remote gambling operator. This Policy applies to every account opened on koko-bet.co regardless of the currency — including EUR, SEK, NOK, USD, and all 24 supported cryptocurrencies — or the payment method used.

1. Purpose and Scope

Money laundering is the process by which criminally obtained funds are introduced into, moved through, or extracted from the legitimate financial system so that their illicit origin is concealed. Terrorist financing involves channelling funds — regardless of their source — towards terrorist activity. Both represent serious criminal offences and cause significant harm to society.

Kokobet is committed to ensuring that its platform — including its casino, live casino, sportsbook, and all associated payment channels — is not used to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or any other financial crime. This Policy establishes the controls we apply to detect, prevent, and report such activity.

This Policy applies to:

  • All persons who register or attempt to register an account on koko-bet.co;
  • All deposits, withdrawals, and bonus transactions processed through the platform;
  • All members of Kokobet staff who handle player accounts or financial transactions;
  • All third-party payment providers and software partners operating through koko-bet.co.

2. Regulatory Framework

Kokobet operates under Curaçao Gaming Control Board licence OGL/2024/1497/0884, granted to Luckywayz Limited B.V., and under Costa Rica registration number 3-102-897762 LTDA. Our AML and KYC procedures are designed to meet or exceed the requirements set out by:

  • The Curaçao Gaming Control Board and its associated AML directives;
  • The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations on combating money laundering and terrorist financing;
  • Applicable international sanctions regimes, including those administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the United Nations Security Council;
  • Kokobet's internal Compliance Framework, as maintained by our designated Compliance Officer.

3. Roles and Responsibilities

3.1 Compliance Officer

Kokobet has appointed a designated Compliance Officer ("CO") who holds overall responsibility for implementing, maintaining, and reviewing this Policy. The CO's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation of AML and KYC controls;
  • Ensuring that suspicious activity is identified, investigated, and reported to the appropriate authorities;
  • Maintaining records of all KYC documentation and transaction monitoring outcomes;
  • Providing AML training to all relevant staff;
  • Reviewing and updating this Policy at least annually, or whenever material regulatory changes occur.

3.2 All Staff

Every member of Kokobet's staff who interacts with player accounts or financial transactions is required to understand and comply with this Policy, complete AML training upon induction and on a recurring annual basis, and promptly escalate any concerns or red flags to the Compliance Officer.

4. Know Your Customer (KYC) Programme

Kokobet applies a risk-based approach to customer due diligence. The level of verification required is commensurate with the risk profile of the player, their transaction history, and the payment methods they use, including the use of cryptocurrency.

4.1 Account Registration

All players must create an account on koko-bet.co before placing any wager, making any deposit, or claiming any bonus. During registration, players are required to provide accurate and complete information, including:

  • Full legal name;
  • Date of birth (players must be at least 18 years of age);
  • Country of residence;
  • A valid email address;
  • A chosen currency from those supported (EUR, SEK, NOK, USD, or a nominated cryptocurrency).

By submitting a registration, the player declares that all information provided is truthful, accurate, and kept up to date. Kokobet reserves the right to suspend or close any account where registration data is found to be false or misleading.

4.2 Standard Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

Kokobet will request documentary verification of a player's identity before, or at the point at which, any one of the following thresholds is reached:

  • A first withdrawal request of any amount is submitted;
  • Cumulative deposits reach or exceed €2,000 (or cryptocurrency equivalent);
  • Any single transaction or series of linked transactions gives rise to a suspicion of money laundering or fraud;
  • The player's account activity is flagged by our automated transaction monitoring system;
  • A player requests a SEPA Bank Transfer or card withdrawal, as these methods require confirmed identity before funds are released.

Standard CDD documentation includes:

  • Proof of Identity (POI): A government-issued photographic document such as a passport, national identity card, or driver's licence — in date, clearly legible, and showing the player's full name and date of birth;
  • Proof of Address (POA): A utility bill, bank statement, or official government correspondence issued within the last three months, showing the player's name and current residential address.

Documents must be submitted in colour, unedited, and in an accepted file format (JPEG, PNG, or PDF). Kokobet reserves the right to request that a player submit a selfie holding their identity document alongside a handwritten note confirming the date and the koko-bet.co domain name, in order to prevent identity fraud.

4.3 Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)

Enhanced Due Diligence is applied where a player is assessed as presenting a higher risk of money laundering or financial crime. EDD may be triggered by any of the following circumstances:

  • The player is a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) or a close associate or family member of a PEP;
  • The player is resident in, or the source of funds originates from, a jurisdiction identified as high-risk by the FATF or subject to international sanctions;
  • Cumulative lifetime deposits exceed €10,000 (or cryptocurrency equivalent);
  • A withdrawal of €5,000 or more (or equivalent) is requested;
  • The player's betting patterns, deposit frequency, or withdrawal behaviour are inconsistent with their stated profile;
  • Multiple payment methods are used in a manner that suggests structuring or layering;
  • The account has been flagged by an automated risk score above our internal threshold.

EDD measures may include one or more of the following:

  • Source of Funds (SOF): Documentation evidencing the origin of the funds deposited — for example, recent payslips, a letter from an employer, business accounts, investment or dividend statements, or evidence of an inheritance;
  • Source of Wealth (SOW): Broader documentation explaining how the player accumulated their overall wealth;
  • PEP Declaration: A formal declaration confirming whether the player holds, or is connected to, a prominent public function;
  • Additional identity verification via a licenced third-party identity verification provider;
  • Enhanced ongoing monitoring of all transactions and gaming activity on the account.

Kokobet will not process a pending withdrawal until all EDD requirements have been satisfied. Where a player declines to provide requested EDD documentation, their withdrawal may be suspended and the account flagged for investigation.

4.4 Cryptocurrency-Specific KYC

Kokobet supports 24 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), and XRP. The pseudonymous nature of blockchain transactions means that additional controls are applied to crypto accounts:

  • All cryptocurrency withdrawals are returned only to a wallet address that has been verified as belonging to the player. Kokobet will not send funds to a third-party wallet address;
  • Players may be required to demonstrate ownership of their deposit wallet (for example, by signing a message or providing a transaction trace);
  • Where blockchain analytics tools identify a deposit wallet as linked to illicit activity, darknet markets, unregulated mixing services, or sanctioned addresses, the deposit will be held and the matter escalated to the Compliance Officer;
  • The standard CDD and EDD thresholds set out above apply equally to cryptocurrency transactions, calculated at the EUR equivalent at the time of the transaction.

4.5 KYC Verification Timelines

Kokobet aims to complete standard CDD verification within 72 hours of receiving complete and satisfactory documentation. EDD cases may take longer depending on their complexity. Players are notified by email at [email protected] of the outcome of their verification. Withdrawal requests, including cryptocurrency withdrawals, will not be processed until verification is complete where it has been requested.

5. Ongoing Monitoring and Transaction Surveillance

Customer due diligence is not a one-time exercise. Kokobet applies continuous monitoring to all active accounts throughout the player lifecycle. Our monitoring programme includes the following elements:

5.1 Automated Transaction Monitoring

All deposits and withdrawals processed through koko-bet.co — whether via Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, iDEAL, Noda Pay, Paysafecard, SEPA Bank Transfer, or any of the 24 supported cryptocurrencies — pass through an automated transaction monitoring system. This system is configured to generate alerts where it detects patterns consistent with money laundering typologies, including but not limited to:

  • Structuring — multiple deposits just below verification thresholds designed to avoid scrutiny;
  • Rapid cycling — depositing funds and withdrawing them immediately with little or no meaningful play;
  • Unusual deposit-to-withdrawal ratios inconsistent with normal gambling behaviour;
  • Use of multiple payment methods, currencies, or accounts in a manner suggestive of layering;
  • Deposits received from, or withdrawals requested to, a different payment method than the one used to deposit (beyond standard provider limitations);
  • Any deposit below the minimum amounts stated (€10–€20 depending on method) or circumvention of the 1x deposit turnover requirement prior to first withdrawal;
  • Bonus abuse patterns — such as repeated bonus activation with minimal play followed by withdrawal attempts.

5.2 Behavioural and Risk Scoring

In addition to transaction-level alerts, Kokobet applies a risk-scoring model to player accounts. Risk scores are updated dynamically based on factors including account age, verified status, deposit and withdrawal history, game play patterns, payment method diversity, and geolocation data. Accounts that exceed internal risk thresholds are reviewed by the Compliance team.

5.3 Periodic Review

Player risk profiles are subject to periodic review at intervals determined by their risk classification. Higher-risk accounts are reviewed more frequently. Where a review reveals a material change in risk — such as a significant increase in deposit volumes, a change in the player's stated circumstances, or the identification of adverse media — the account may be escalated to EDD status and additional documentation requested.

5.4 The VIP Programme and High-Value Players

Players who progress through Kokobet's 16-level loyalty programme — through the Peep, Wingman, Cluckster, Gold Beak, and Eggstra tiers — and who access enhanced benefits such as cashback of up to 20%, rakeback of up to 15%, or bonuses of up to €5,000, will be subject to correspondingly heightened scrutiny. The Compliance Officer reviews the accounts of all players at Gold Beak and Eggstra tier on a regular basis. High-value tournament prizes, including entries into the Tesla Cybertruck prize programme, may be subject to additional SOF/SOW verification before they are awarded or paid out.

6. Prohibited Players and Restricted Jurisdictions

Kokobet does not accept registrations from, or knowingly permit play by, individuals who are:

  • Under 18 years of age;
  • Resident in a jurisdiction where online gambling is prohibited or where Kokobet has determined it does not hold a valid operating authority;
  • Named on any applicable sanctions list, including those maintained by OFAC, the UN Security Council, the EU, or equivalent bodies;
  • Identified as Politically Exposed Persons who cannot be satisfactorily verified under our EDD procedures;
  • Previously excluded from koko-bet.co for AML, fraud, or responsible gambling reasons.

Where Kokobet identifies that a player's account falls into any of the above categories after registration, the account will be suspended immediately, pending investigation. Funds held in such accounts will not be released until the matter has been reviewed by the Compliance Officer and, where required, reported to the appropriate authority.

7. Suspicious Activity Reporting

Where Kokobet forms a suspicion, or has reasonable grounds to suspect, that a player is engaged in money laundering, terrorist financing, or fraud, the Compliance Officer will submit a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) to the relevant financial intelligence unit in accordance with our licence obligations.

It is a criminal offence to "tip off" a player — directly or indirectly — that they are the subject of a SAR or an investigation. Accordingly, where an investigation is ongoing, Kokobet staff will not communicate the existence of that investigation to the player concerned. Kokobet will not be liable to any player for delays to withdrawals or account restrictions that result from compliance with this obligation.

Players whose accounts are under investigation should contact the Support team at [email protected] or via 24/7 live chat. We will respond as promptly as we are legally permitted to do.

8. Record Keeping

Kokobet retains the following records for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of the relevant transaction or the closure of the account, whichever is later:

  • All KYC documentation submitted by players, including identity documents, proof of address, source of funds and source of wealth evidence;
  • All transaction records, including deposits, withdrawals, bonus credits, and free spin conversions, across all supported payment methods and currencies;
  • All correspondence relating to AML investigations, SARs, and account suspensions;
  • All internal risk assessments, monitoring alerts, and compliance decisions;
  • Staff training records and policy version histories.

Records are stored securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law. Access is restricted to authorised personnel only. Players may request access to their own personal data by writing to [email protected]; such requests will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Staff Training

All members of Kokobet staff who are involved in player account management, payment processing, or customer support receive mandatory AML training covering:

  • The legal framework governing anti-money laundering and terrorist financing;
  • The requirements of this Policy and how to apply them in practice;
  • How to identify red flags and suspicious activity indicators in a gambling context;
  • The procedure for escalating concerns to the Compliance Officer;
  • The legal prohibition on tipping off;
  • Sanctions screening obligations.

Training is completed upon induction and refreshed at least once per calendar year, or sooner where material regulatory changes require it. Training completion is logged and records are maintained by the Compliance Officer.

10. Sanctions Screening

Kokobet screens all new player registrations and, on a periodic basis, all existing accounts against applicable sanctions lists, including those published by OFAC, the UN, the EU, and other relevant bodies. Payment transactions are also screened at the point of processing. Where a match is identified — or where reasonable grounds exist to believe a match may exist — the transaction or account is frozen pending investigation by the Compliance Officer. Confirmed matches will be reported to the appropriate authority and funds will be dealt with in accordance with applicable sanctions law.

11. Payment Method Controls

Kokobet applies the following payment-specific controls to reduce the risk of financial crime:

Payment Method Key AML Control
Visa / Mastercard Cards must be registered in the player's verified name. Third-party cards are prohibited. Chargeback risk is monitored.
Skrill / Neteller E-wallet account must be in the player's verified name. Maximum weekly withdrawal of €10,000 per method applies.
iDEAL / Noda Pay Direct bank account connectivity (ABN AMRO, ING, Rabobank) provides inherent identity verification at the bank level.
SEPA Bank Transfer Bank account must be held in the player's verified name. Transfers below €300 may carry a €20 processing fee; this is disclosed transparently at the point of withdrawal.
Paysafecard Accepted for deposits only. Anonymous prepaid instruments attract enhanced scrutiny; identity verification is required before any withdrawal is processed on an account that has used Paysafecard.
Cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL, XRP, DOGE and others) Blockchain analytics applied to all incoming transactions. Withdrawals only to player-owned, verified wallets. Mixer/tumbler-origin funds are refused. EDD triggered at lower thresholds given pseudonymity risk.

The mandatory 1x deposit turnover requirement that applies before a first withdrawal — even where no bonus is active — also serves a compliance function by ensuring that deposits are not simply cycled through the platform without any genuine engagement with the games.

12. Responsible Gambling and AML Interaction

Kokobet's responsible gambling controls and its AML controls are complementary. A player who is wagering at a level that is inconsistent with their verified income or wealth may simultaneously be exhibiting signs of problem gambling and signs of suspicious financial activity. Where either concern arises, Kokobet will take appropriate action, which may include requesting additional documentation, applying deposit or wagering limits, initiating a welfare check, or suspending the account pending investigation.

Players who wish to set limits on their deposits, wagering, or losses, or who wish to take a self-exclusion, are encouraged to contact the Support team at [email protected] or via live chat, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

13. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Where a player fails to comply with the KYC requirements set out in this Policy — including by failing to provide requested documentation within a reasonable timeframe, providing false or misleading documents, or refusing to cooperate with an investigation — Kokobet reserves the right to take one or more of the following actions:

  • Suspend the player's account and freeze all pending withdrawals;
  • Void any bonuses, free spins, or promotional rewards credited to the account;
  • Decline to process any withdrawal until verification is complete;
  • Permanently close the account;
  • Retain funds where required to do so by law or by the instruction of a competent authority;
  • Report the matter to the relevant financial intelligence unit or law enforcement agency.

Kokobet will not be liable to any player for losses arising from account suspension or withdrawal delays that result from the application of this Policy.

14. Policy Review

This Policy is reviewed by the Compliance Officer at least once every twelve months, or sooner where there is a material change in applicable law, regulatory guidance, or Kokobet's business operations. The current version of this Policy is always published on koko-bet.co. Players are encouraged to review it periodically.
